Candy Divine vs Blondie
Blondie (a.k.a. Diane Von Hoffman) and Candi Divine meet up to settle the score in a best-of-three-falls GrudgeMatch, and right from the start of the action, Blondie complains to the ref that Candi used an illegal pull of the tights, which Divine denies, only to have the powerhouse Blondie resort to hairpulling mere moments later to gain the advantage. And that’s not the only questionable tactic Blondie uses as she battles her way to taking the first fall.
Realizing her back is against the wall and she can’t risk losing another fall, Candi goes all out, wearing down her opponent by slingshotting her around the ring, but still Blondie holds on. Candi is in shock as her powerful adversary muscles out of a stepover toehold, and then proceeds to give Divine a severe beating. As Candi writhes in pain from an agonizing stomach claw, it looks as if it’s all over for the darling of Nashville.
But amazingly, Candi turns the tide and wins the second fall, and now everything comes down to the final round, as both battlers unleash all that they have to beat the other!
