Third match-
Battle of two seasoned performers with much foreign wrestling experience…
PGWA Champion Nikki Roxx and Californian Sara del Rey. And the fans got a
terrific seesaw battle with first one girl and then the other getting the
advantage.
Both employed many hard-hitting maneuvers… a lot of fast-paced Lucha Libre
flavor and plenty of All-American power moves as well. The best match of the
tournament in many observers’ minds. As neither woman could hold a clear
advantage for long, a time limit draw ensued. By World-1 rules, both competitors
were eliminated from the tournament.
After a vast chorus of chants of ” 5 more minutes” the promoters, while they
couldn’t grant that request by rule, delighted the crowd by having both
wrestlers agree to a 30 minute time limit rematch at their next women’s
event in February.
Winner: Both or neither, as each woman was eliminated from the tourney after a fantastic battle.
Real winner: The fans!
