British Battler Seeks to Rule the Wrestling Jungle

One of the true standouts from Pippa L'Vinn's much-praised "X-MAS CRACKER" live event in December of '04 is the woman known as WildKat. The powerful redhead made an impressive showing not once, but TWICE that day, facing both the highly accomplished Sue Scarlett as well as the legendary Awesome Anne in separate matches!

WildKat is no stranger to both pro and amateur wrestling in Great Britain, but her career has been rather low key, and thus many fans knew nothing about her. Now, however, she's looking to make a bigger name for herself on both sides of the Atlantic.

"I started wrestling over ten years ago," she says. "At the same gym as Awesome Anne...known then as Lady Anne Silver. I was under the name of Wild Kat Cougar, working for Alex Burton in Manchester. Alex, unfortunately, was killed in an accident, and Joe Smith asked us to wrestle for him. I did a few shows, wrestling Anne and Jodie Lee, but I wasn't all that happy there."

Looking for a change, WildKat actually left the sport for a spell. "I stopped wrestling and started kickboxing. But I always wanted to get back into wrestling, really, and one day I went training with Anne, and I was hooked once more!"

The professional relationship between WildKat and Awesome Anne is a complex one. Although they are friends, there is no denying the powerful competitive rivalry between them. Whenever they face one another on the mats, neither woman holds anything back! "I have wrestled Anne for years. She is bigger and stronger and always saying what she is going to do to me. But my aim is to always surprise her and kick her butt around the ring!"

Another budding rivalry is with Sue Scarlett. WildKat, it seems, is none too happy with the results of their encounter last Christmastime. However, she's quick to point out just why her performance in the match wasn't a total domination of her blond opponent: "I was holding back against Sue Scarlett...which I won't do ever again! She has never stopped bragging about how she nearly had me. Well, she won't be bragging after the next time we meet!"

Having returned to the sport, the redhead is more anxious than ever to step into the ring as often as she can and to build up her reputation. "I would like to do as much wrestling as I can. I don't mind who with, as I always like a challenge. Pro-style, I am more of an Old School wrestler. But I also enjoy amateur submission wrestling as well."
