LADYSPORTS: Welcome to LadySports, Jennifer! When did you first get into wrestling?
JENNIFER THOMAS: In 2003.

LS: Who trained you?
JT: I have a list of trainers: I began with the Ballard Brothers in Los Angeles at UPW. From there, Navajo Warrior and Jack Bull in Arizona IZW, Bill Demott in Deep South Wrestling in Atlanta, Georgia, and Al Snow and Rip Rogers in Louisville, Kentucky at Ohio Valley Wrestling.

LS: What was your biggest influence to become a wrestler?
JT: Being a great athlete, and also being able to entertain at the same time.

LS: What other sports do you have an interest in?
JT: Track and field, bodybuilding…oh, and speed skating. I think I would be really good at that!

LS: How would you describe yourself in terms of attitude, personality, likes, dislikes, and strengths?
JT: I think I have a great overall attitude toward others, however I can be very self-critical, making my attitude toward myself not so good at times. My personality is fun, childlike and actually pretty mellow. I know how to "turn it on" when I need to, especially with wrestling shows. Dislikes are fake people, being made to believe people are good and finding out that hidden motives are involved. Also, when you say you’re going to do something, but don't do it…which I admit, I'm guilty of myself sometimes. But I focus really hard on keeping my commitments. My strengths are my determination and Independence. I have learned that I can't sit back and wait for people to do what they say…that I have to find other options and do it myself if need be.

LS: Describe a typical day of training for you. What is most important in your workout?
JT: Lots of cardio, minimum of an hour, and then some weight lifting. I'm not as hardcore with lifting as I used to be. Cardio is most important since I feel it's what keeps keep me lean and well-conditioned.

LS: How would you best describe your ring style?
JT: Hmmm…I think it’s a girly girl athletic style, somewhat like a Mickey James. Not acting as a "Bad Ass"…even though I could! I'm more bubbly and like to have FUN in the ring.

LS: What moves are you best known for?
JT: The Humpty and the TKO.

LS: Have you ever been injured in the ring?
JT: Knock on wood…NO! My most serious injury was biting my tongue so hard I split it open.

LS: Who have been your toughest opponents?
JT: Beth Phoenix, Katie Lea Burchill, Sarah del Rey and Michelle Morgan.

LS: Who are your allies?
JT: All of them!

LS: What has been your most memorable win?
JT: It was over Michelle Morgan when we were on a wrestling tour in Asia. It wasn't that I had won that made it so memorable…it was the "energy" that I felt from the crowd that gave me goose bumps in the ring. I felt we had really connected with the crowd, and to me that made it the most memorable .

LS: What was your worst loss?
JT: Against Amazing Kong, whom the WWE bestowed my old Kharma name to. The match didn't last long…I was done within minutes. Her power was way beyond anything I have ever experienced before.

LS: Who is the one wrestler you would most like to face in the ring, but haven't yet?
JT: Natalya Neidhart.

LS: What type of match do you enjoy the most?
JT: I love when I can tell a STORY, and get the crowd into the match. Those are the ones I enjoy most.

LS: What sort of reactions do you get from people when they learn you are a wrestler?
JT: They are very intrigued and ask many questions! They like it and think it's really cool.

LS: What is so special about this sport to you?
JT: Wrestling is like LIFE…it’s full of hope spots, cut-offs , and occasional victories. The sport challenges me in every aspect…physically, mentally and spiritually. I have to face my fears, and this allows me to grow as a person. This is why wrestling is special to me.

LS: What are your fans like?
JT: Great! They are very helpful and complimentary. They keep me going! I absolutely love my fans!

LS: Where have you wrestled, and what titles have you held?
JT: I have wrestled everywhere! It would take forever for me to list them all. I held the belt for WILD…it's an indy promotion out here in California.

LS: What are your thoughts on women participating in the sport?
JT: I think it’s great! Women should be able to participate in any sport they want to!

LS: What was your most unforgettable moment in the sport?
JT: Getting to be the ring girl who held John Cena's championship belt for one of his matches. I love that guy!

LS: Any regrets?
JT: None whatsoever.

LS: What would you do if you couldn't be in wrestling?
JT: I would continue efforts to learn Photoshop and computer design work. I also want to do something that requires ‘performing', so I would dive into learning burlesque…that seems fun to me!

LS: What is your personal motto?
JT: What goes around, comes around. Or, in a word…Kharma.

LS: And what would make you most happy in life?
JT: Freedom makes me happy, and fortunately I have it. However, I need to learn to have balance in my life and feel content with where life has brought me. That would make me super happy!

LS: Anything else you'd like to add before we go?
JT: Yes, this quote from George Washington Carver: "When you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world."
