Princess Sugey takes Jenny Taylor To Her Limit

A CMLL/CWF co-promotion took place Sunday, September 12, in the famed Grady Cole Center, Charlotte, NC. American grappler Jenny Taylor got a good taste of Princess Sugey's power and skill in the ring! This match was scheduled through the offices of the PGWA shortly after the SUMMER HEAT live event in Nashville this past July. Jenny Taylor wanted very much to go to Mexico and to specifically challenge the Champion, Sugey, but it didn't look as if this match-up was going to happen anytime soon, owing to the busy schedules of both women. But when Special Events recently got a call from the Carolina Wrestling Federation (CWF) to use its contacts with various Mexican organizations to bring up a "top flight" Luchadora, and when word hit the wrestling grapevine that the woman in question would be Sugey, Jenny did everything in her power to clear a space on her schedule and make certain she would be the one facing the Latina in the ring. Both women seemed to take an instant dislike with one another. Before the match the two grudgingly posed for a promotional photo, but that was it...Sugey quickly left Taylor's dressing room and they refused to see each other for the rest of the card until their match. Taylor certainly should be proud of herself, as she acquitted herself magnificently against one of Mexico's best wrestlers, and it took being nearly knocked out from a DDT to finally put her away! But she was almost in denial when it came to explaining how she lost, angrily refusing to believe that the Luchadora had beaten her. Given how determined Taylor was to win this match, it's perhaps not surprising that she had such a hard time wrapping her mind around the fact that she lost. Jenny Taylor is a relative newcomer to the sport, and is certainly new to wrestling tough women of Sugey's caliber. However, she has come a long way in a very short span of time, showing tremendous heart and lots of determination in the ring. Even though Jenny lost this match she came away with some hard-earned experience. And despite the loss, she wants a rematch with Princess Sugey somewhere down the road. The PGWA hopes to arrange for these two competitors to meet again in a GrudgeMatch someday. more pictures online for members |
