Pippa L'Vinn's Sudden Impact Show

Show Report

by Mark Lockey

SUDDEN IMPACT : Live from Pippa L' Vinn's Wrestling Factory :
Saturday 4 November 2006.

Sudden Impact was another breathtaking show that was
thoroughly enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience.

So much commitment, hard work, preparation and thought
by Pippa goes into her shows and this one, again, succeeded
in striking a perfect balance with youth and experience performing.
Also, all tastes are carefully considered with a clever mix of mat-based
and pro. style wrestling, on display. Since attending the last 3
shows I have certainly been converted to a lover of the
mat based matches, whereas, before, it was only the pro. style
wrestling that I was interested in.

Match # 1 : Pro Style :
Jennidee v Delectable Donna :

The show commenced with a pro style match with Jennidee locking
up with Delectable Donna. This was Donna's second appearance at
the venue, still displaying her "carefree", "nonchalant" attitude
- a great character who likes to wind-up the crowd.
Jennidee, a strong, no-nonsense wrestler, immediately tore into
Donna using arm locks and strength holds that frustrated Donna
into leaving the ring briefly and asking for a "time-out" to be
called.

Donna came back, apparently strengthened by her time outside of
the ring and began to intimidate her opponent both verbally and
physically. Biting and eye-gouging were used by her which resulted
in a public warning. Jennidee counteracted and let her actions do
all of her talking, coming close to victory with a couple of 2
counts.

A strong opening battle from the two young girls ended with a
winning pin.

Match # 2 : Pro Style :
Baroness Simone v Shelby Beach :

Germany's Simone made a welcome return to the show with a testing battle
against the crowd favourite and stunning blonde bombshell, Shelby. This was
a very fast paced and evenly matched encounter with Simone putting up a lot
of resistance to Shelby's leg locks, early on. Even though Shelby had picked
up a recent injury and had a badly bruised thumb on her left hand that was
bandaged, she did not appear restricted in any way. Simone just improves all
the time and is a very accomplished wrestler and athlete, considering her
short time in the sport.
The match was brought to a conclusion with a boston crab to decide the
contest.

Match # 3 : Pro Style :
Roxi v Minx :

The angelic and ever popular Roxi took on Sunderland's Minx in another pro
match. The two youngsters with similar size and build proceeded to entertain
the crowd with a contest that rocked back and forth. Roxi produced 3 body
slams in quick succession. Minx reacted positively by slamming Roxi to the
mat twice. A very exciting and fast paced match was unfolding. Minx received
a public warning for using some underhand tactics and this superb bout was
ended when a near fall was reversed into a deciding pin.

Match # 4 : Pro Style :
Lisa Fury v Pippa L' Vinn :

Liverpool's Lisa Fury made her debut to the show with a real "Baptism of
Fire" as she encountered the one and only Pippa L' Vinn.
Lisa, to her credit, did not appear to show any fear or trepidation for her
opponent. Pippa was seeking to overthrow Lisa with all of her experience,
knowledge and vast catalogue of holds and moves. An intriguing battle of
wits unfolded with a series of near pins via 2 counts from each girl. A
fantastic match finished with the victor cleverly reversing her opponent
after being on the receiving end of 2 body slams.

Match # 5 : Mat Based Contest : 15 Minute Duration
Minx v Lucy Clayden :

The first mat based encounter of the day had Minx returning to the ring to
face Lucy - making her first appearance.
Minx adapted her usual pro style superbly to this mat based match and
matched Lucy throughout. A fascinating contest which was intensely observed
by the audience, produced a first submission on 10 minutes. This was soon
equalised and a real battle of wills took place for the remainder of this
brilliant confrontation. Lucy was very impressive and was very comfortable
in this style of grappling. Minx, to her credit, seemed equally adept and a
thrilling and excellent bout resulted in a 2-1 submission.

Match # 6 : Pro Style :
Baroness Simone v Pippa L' Vinn :

A pro-match pitched Germany v England next. Simone, keen to show her
previous educator that she had indeed developed her skills to not only take
on Pippa but, strive to defeat her. Simone's initial holds on Pippa's left
arm were unsuccessful in weakening Britain's best . Pippa, seized her
opportunity to overcome her less experienced adversary and verbally warned
her that she would be in "Trouble", "Deep Trouble".....she actually used a
shortened word - ie: when something, sometimes hits the fan.
Pippa, at times, was reminding the crowd who the number # 1 is, and who
could doubt her ?
A bodyslam and pin concluded this epic and very entertaining bout.

Match # 7 : Mat Based Contest : 15 Minute Duration :
Lucy Clayden v Shelby Beach :

The second of today's mat based matches brought together Lucy and Shelby.
This was a fast and high scoring submission bout with both competitors
clearly showing a lot of respect for each other and they were both clearly
enjoying every moment. It was great to witness 2 girls excelling and loving
the encounter.
A 5-4 submission was gained after the 15 minute period.
A joy to watch.

Match # 8 : Pro Style :
Pippa L' Vinn v Jennidee:

The penultimate match today again offered a second Manchester v Liverpool
rivalry. Pippa straight from the opening bell had Jennidee in trouble.
Jennidee, undeterred, fought back and strained every ounce to match her
greatly experienced opponent.
Pippa, in her third match of the day, continued to both enthral and
entertain the audience with her unique style. We never tire of observing her
antics in the ring. The ultimate professional with every move and trick in
the book and unsurpassed wit, banter and
one-liners to mesmerize the audience.
A controversial ending to this match where it appeared that both shoulders
were not down....hotly disputed by the losing contestant.

Match # 9 : Tag Match :
Minx / Donna v Lisa / Roxi :

The final match of a wonderful show brought back Minx and Donna - 2 young
girls of similar physique, style, and attitude.
Their opponents were Roxi and Lisa Fury. This match developed into a furious
battle. Minx and Donna seeking to take advantage by ganging up on Roxi,
leaving Lisa very frustrated at her partners treatment. Clever work was
emerging by the 2 "heels", distracting the referee to pile on the punishment
on the ropes to poor Roxi. Lisa, in her anger received a public warning.
Donna then received the same, due to underhand tactics being spotted.
A very fast paced and highly entertaining match resulted in a pin after 2
girls went "rollabout" around the ring.
