SKARLETT LETTER

Skarlett in her own words...

Some of our favorite features here at LadySports are the ones written by the wrestlers themselves from their own POV. And one of our favorite young British wrestlers is the menacingly macabre Skarlett. So when we saw the opportunity to combine the two, we jumped at that chance.

Here, in her own words, is the tale of a feud she waged last year, culminating in an historic match!

When my good friends at LadySports asked me to pen a bit of an update since the last time they spoke with me, I couldn’t wait to share my news. Two years have passed (almost) and a lot of things have changed for me. I feel I have grown, improved and achieved. Finally, I feel like I am on the path I was truly meant to be on.

Most notably my greatest achievement so far is becoming Extreme World Wrestling's first-ever British Women's Champion! It is a title I won in 2010 in a triple threat against Erin Angel and Jetta. Since then I've been involved in a feud that has lasted over a year against a Welsh graduate of the Storm Academy... Becky James. And let me tell you, she's one nasty piece of work.

See? Becky didn’t waste a lot of time and got straight on me with a few questionable and illegal manouvres to gain the upperhand. She hit me out of nowhere with her signature 'Ab Attack' high cross body...

... but to no avail! There was no way I wanted to lose the belt on my first defence, so I brought the fight right back to her...

... and went home as I arrived: Champion! (Please note the fan in the background with an I Love Skarlett sign.)

I met Becky James a handful of times at other promotions around the UK during this feud, most notably at the "Bulldog Bash", a motorcycle festival run by The Hells Angels. Respect to her where it was due that she even turned up there... the crowd HATED her. But if you will show up to entertain bikers dressed as Barbie... that’s what you get!

Here I am about to take her out with my patented Axe Kick...

We met again late last year in my hometown of Hastings, and Becky had another title shot, and this time she'd brought some friends... Pollyanna and 'Lethal' Lucy Clayden.

But Skarlett is NEVER outshone.

I knew I'd need to have eyes in the back of my head with two other women at ringside; I knew Pollyanna and Lucy would rather see Becky as the British Women’s Champion than me. So I had to make an example of Becky James. Here I have her in a painful camel clutch...

Of course, It wasn’t long before Pollyanna and Clayden got involved in things...

But they aren't the only ones who can think outside the box: Behold me with a brilliantly unique reversal from a Tree of Woe into a choke...

It wasn’t long before Becky and her cronies couldn’t match the awesome power of having the raucous support of my hometown behind me, and she walked straight into my finisher, a modified Widows Peak...

They all scurried away after that. Chickens.

Whilst all of this was going on with Becky last year, my husband The Dominator was engaged in a bloody feud of his own with his nemesis, Kerry Cabrero, over the EWW Heavyweight title, and Becky couldn’t resist poking her nose into that as well. Here she is with Kerry Cabrero...

And here is me about to flatten them both, and their cronies... .

This went on and on, both duos trying to outshine the other. So the Commissioner of Extreme World Wrestling, J.Dawg, devised a way to settle it once and for all: The FIRST-EVER Intergender Tag Team Casket Match in British wrestling history! To add even more to the match’s importance, both the Heavyweight and Women’s titles were on the line. Here is me locking up with Cabrero. I’m not afraid of boys!

But... he doesn’t like female wrestlers very much, and refused to show any respect whatsoever.

So I decided to beat it out of him.

He and Becky got the upperhand, double-teaming to wear me down so they could get an easy win...

... and ...

But luckily for me, my partner, the Dominator, was counted into the match. They don't call him 'The British Beast' for nothing!

Unfortunately, I was still hurt pretty badly from this...

... and nearly lost the match for us as Becky threw me into the casket!

But thankfully Dominator was there to even the score again and set up Kerry into the casket. And here I am bulldogging Becky into the casket with him...

Casket closed and we were victorious!

I don’t know what happened to Becky after that... I can only hope she's buried in some dark, damp hole somewhere licking her wounds. As for me, I’m currently preparing to meet my long standing arch-nemesis, Lucy Clayden, once more, this time for my championship. Sure, Lucy’s tough and relentless, but after surviving that casket match ordeal with the belt still around my waist, I've never felt more positive!

Bye for now xx Skarlett
