There was much anticicipation in the air as belltime approached... Surely, this must be the biggest gathering of Lady wrestlers competing in an event, in this country, ever. 15 ladies were on the card with a mixture of experience, youth and venue debutants.

A good attendance had gathered considering the 3 other major sporting events taking place the same day - all involving crucial England matches in Football, (soccer) Rugby and Cricket.

There were 9 matches in all and, as always with Pippa's events, the audience was treated to a superb show with mat-based, pro-style and even an impromptu mixed contest !!

The afternoons proceedings commenced with Sue Scarlett taking on newcomer to this show, Suzi. Both girls wore one-piece costumes for this mat- based bout. The more experienced Sue Scarlett fought a very determined and strong willed opponent. A fine opening match set the standard for a highly competitive show.

Shelby Beach looked fantastic in her 2 piece grey bikini. She was certainly tested in this mat based contest against another show newcomer, Saskia. Saskia had an amazing physique. She stands approximately 6ft 3 inches tall and is an awesome tower of strength, but, very sweet and fun loving as the match developed. To picture this lady, think Amazing Kong from the US Shimmer shows and, of late, Real Quality Wrestling and you have some idea of the might that the blonde bombshell from Wigan was up against. Shelby needed all of her experience to try and out wrestle her taller opponent. A very sporting and, at times, fun encounter, thrilled the crowd.

At the climax of one of today's pro-style matches, a male heckler came to the ringside to angrily dispute a decision. Pippa L 'Vinn made an attempt to calm down the punter and both exchanged a few words before a challenge was made to him on the spot ! Pippa stripped down to her wrestling attire, climbed into the ring and declared that the contest commence. Undeterred, the man who announced himself as Mr Gaylord, changed out of his suit into a pair of gold hot pants and black tights....was he brave or mad ? He was certainly the envy of all the men in attendance as he was about to get to grips with Britains best lady wrestler in her own backyard. This "Battle of the Sexes" certainly caused a stir as word had got backstage and most, if not all of the other wrestler's on the card came into the audience to cheer on Pippa. A fascinating match developed with the result firmly establishing who is the stronger sex !!

More bouts continued with performances from Baroness Simone, who continues to improve with each appearance. Layla, on her 3rd visit to the Wrestling Factory, is quickly becoming very confident and accomplished as a mat wrestler, as is Tweety. Layla, took on 2 girls in a handicapped mat-based contest - Suzi and Kizzi.

Shelby Beach's defence of her Pippa L'Vinn Foundation Trophy matched her against a new face to this event, Kirsty. An engrossing pro-style bout with Kirsty showing some promising holds and moves, pushed Shelby to the limits to hold on to her title.....

The climax to today's show was a 6 girl tag-match, featuring Pippa L'Vinn, Jordan E and Minx, opposed by the stunning Roxi - surely the most underrated lady wrestler in the country - Jennidee and Kirsty. It was clear from the outset that Pippa's team were going to test referee, Stephen Edwards' judgements to the full. They cleverly mixed up quality holds with underhand tactics in this vastly entertaining encounter. Pippa was digging deep into her vast repertoire of manouevres and orchestrating her 2 accomplices. However, after appearing to be on the receiving end of the early stages, their opponents remained firm and Roxi's team started to fight fire with fire. They were in no mood to be brushed aside, with Kirsty, literally screaming from the turnbuckle for more support from the referee with some questionable holds being applied to her team mates. This 20 minute time limit bout concluded after the persistence of one team, frustrated their opponents into friction within their own ranks ! A hugely entertaining pro-bout brought the show to a close.

Summary:
A wonderful day's entertainment from the home of Ladies Professional Wrestling - The Wrestling Factory. Each show and indeed, the venue, continues to improve. A fabulous effort by all of the girls who put so much effort into the contests. Pippa L'Vinn works so hard, not only with the more experienced girls, familiar to regular attendees of these events, but, always strives to seek out new talent. The progression of Ladies Wrestling in this country is largely down to her......an awesome wrestler and a lovely lady who has everything; beautiful looks, a fantastic physique, charm and a razor-sharp wit. I even spotted a "twinkle" in Donny Osmond's eyes when she appeared on his recent TV programme : Identity.

A special Thank You to Pippa and her Production Team who work so hard behind the scenes to help bring these fantastic shows together.
