Following a bad couple of weeks in Mexico's LLF, Nikki Roxx managed to turn her fortunes around and get a measure of much-savored vengeance in the process when she again faced her nemesis, Ariana...and she was able to unmask the mysterious maven from Portugal!

But Nikki, along with the fans, was shocked to discover exactly who was under that cowl...!

Ariana returned to the Lucha Libre Femenil ring recently with the avowed goal of driving American grappler Nikki Roxx out of the promotion, and she seemed to be making good on her vow...at least at first. But Roxx is not one to let a defeat or two keep her down, and she demanded a rematch with the mystery woman. Ariana was more than happy to grant her request, seeing this match as her best chance of breaking the blonde's spirit once and for all by handing her another defeat. As an added element of humiliation, Ariana dared Nikki to put her hair on the line should she lose. Roxx agreed, so long as Ariana likewise agreed to unmask should she be defeated. The Portuguese wrestler, so confident of another victory, readily agreed. And Ariana had good reason to feel confident, and not only because she believed herself to be the better fighter. The masked woman knew that the referee for their fight, Mulato, had unscrupulously favored her in the past, and there was no reason to think he wouldn't try and tilt the match toward Ariana against Nikki again.

And at first, it seemed as if Ariana had every reason to be confident. Although both wrestlers tore into each other like wildcats, it was quickly obvious that Ariana was dominating the battle. Upon winning the first fall, the masked woman was predicting that it would only be a matter of minutes before Nikki lost the next fall as well as her beautiful golden locks!

But Ariana may have wished she hadn't taunted her rival as much as she did, because the jeers and insults seemed to steel Nikki's resolve, and going into the second fall, it was the American who was clearly on the offensive. Roxx claimed the second fall, and suddenly it was anybody's match!

For the third and final fall, the two women held nothing back, and the advantage seesawed between them! Blood began to flow as they hammered away, and more than once, each wrestler seemed on the verge of pinning the other, only to have her opponent make a miraculous last-second save. This stalemated struggle had to be particularly frustrating for Ariana, as Mulato was doing as much as he could without completely turning on Nikki, and yet the masked woman still couldn't end the match.

Ultimately, Mulato's aid did Ariana no good, for it was Nikki who won the third and deciding fall, and even the referee knew he had no choice but to award the match to the American blonde. The crowd was on its feet, chanting "Gringa! Gringa! Gringa!" as Roxx demanded her pound of flesh: Ariana's mask.

No one can be certain precisely what Nikki was expecting when her rival grudgingly removed her mask. One thing is for certain, though...what she was NOT expecting was to see the face of fellow American grappler, Ariel! Most fans don't realize that Ariel was actually born in Portugal, so Ariana's claim of being Portuguese wasn't a false one. But the big question now is, just why does Ariel hate Nikki Roxx enough to travel down to Mexico, wear a mask, and create an entirely new identity in order to attack the blonde? That remains a question that will only be answered in time, no doubt.

And suffice to say, despite Ariana's unmasking, this feud looks to be far from over. Indeed, now that Nikki knows it's Ariel who's her enemy, there's every reason to expect they will not only continue to battle in Mexico, but will also carry their rivalry back to the United States.
