LadySports ::: PGWA/USWO Nashville Action...

Some things just seem to go together so naturally. Arm and Hammer... Sam and Dave... Rum and Coke... and Nashville and the PGWA!

The PGWA returns to Music City, USA and brings more great ladies action to one of the finest indy feds around, the United States Wrestling Organization. It’s a night of (mostly) new talent for the fans to enjoy, with PGWA newcomers Josie, Susan Morton and Scarlett Rose joining Camron Star (who has worked for the PGWA only once before) Zip and Maria Montana at “Slam Jam 2006!”

The first women’s match features Maria Montana vs Josie (who, rumor has it, was getting some strategy advice backstage from TNA‘s Lollipop). After a hiatus from the ring wars for a few years, Maria surprised and delighted fans by announcing her return to the sport, and she re-debuted last month in, of all places, Manchester, England! Tonight’s match marks her first battle in an American ring in several years. Showing that she hasn’t lost her take charge attitude, Maria tosses Josie around to start, then they mat wrestle a bit. Josie fights her way out of a headlock, but gets clotheslined. Josie takes a timeout after getting slammed, slipping out of the ring to gather her wits. On the way back in, she stunners Maria on the top rope and takes control. Josie goes for an STF variation, but then decides just to pull hair instead. Josie hits a cartwheel elbow drop, and pounds on Maria for a bit. Maria ducks a clotheline and hits a crossbody for two followed up with some kneelifts. Josie up with a Russian legsweep for two, then goes to work on Maria's leg. Josie goes for a grapevine/abdominal stretch combination but can't hang on, so she concentrates on a spinning toehold. Maria makes the ropes and is up limping. Josie tries a suplex, but Maria blocks and does one of her own. Josie attempts a Boston crab, but Maria flips her away. Josie up and slams Maria, then goes up top. Maria follows and grabs Josie by the hair and tosses her across the ring. Maria monkeyflips Josie face first into the mat. Maria tries her own STF, but Josie works out of it. Maria chops Josie in the corner, but Josie reverses and whips Maria across the ring. Josie goes for a corner splash, but Maria ducks and schoolgirls Josie for the pin in about 12 minutes. A hard-earned victory to mark the cowgirl’s return to the ring!

Next, Susan Morton wrestles Zip. Susan tosses Zip around like a rag doll to start. Susan uses a barrage of forearms and knees on Zip to get an early two count. Zip throws Susan down and chokes her, then sits on her head! Zip with a hair-aided snap mare, then stands on the hair and pulls her arms. Susan back with a stiff clothesline into a front chancery, which Zip reverses into a neckbreaker. Zip chokes Susan in the ropes, then applies a recliner. Susan catches Zip off the ropes and hits a sideslam for two. Zip works out a headlock with an eyepoke of doom. Meantime, Maria Montana wanders out to watch, and seems to be studying Zip in action. . Zip tries a sleeper, but Susan works out of that and hits an elbow for two, as Zip made the ropes. Zip attacks from behind and chokes Susan in the ropes. Susan slips out of a DDT attempt, then they exchange chops. Zip hits her patented Zippit for the pin in 10 minutes.

Finally, the night wraps up with Scarlett Rose battling her arch-nemesis, Camron Star. Camron shows her disdain for the crowd by callously tearing some poor fan’s sign in half, and she doesn’t waste time getting right down to the rulebreaking by biting Scarlett's fingers, but they apparently don't taste like chicken, so she steps out of the ring and goes over to her adversary’s merchandise table. .. and wipes the sweat from her face on one of Scarlett's t-shirts! Camron wants test of strength, and each bends the other over. They hang on despite Camron tripping Scarlett, but finally Camron kneelifts out of the hold. Camron hits a dragon screw legwhip, and starts torturing Scarlett's leg. Camron seems to be really enjoying this as she is smiling and talking smack to Scarlett and the crowd. Apparently still hungry, Camron takes a moment to bite the young blonde’s foot while Scarlett screams in pain. Scarlett up with a side headlock, but Camron hits a belly to back suplex, then wraps Scarlett's arms around her own neck, choking her. Scarlett up with a tiltawhirl for two, but Camron pulls Scarlett's leg over to the bottom rope and wraps it around a bit. Camron goes for a sideways bow and arrow, but breaks that and applies a rear chinlock. Scarlett reverses a belly to back suplex try into a chinbreaker. Scarlett tries a tornado DDT, but Camron reverses it into a spinebuster. Camron applies a kind of figure four, but wraps up Scarlett's head and arms instead of the legs. Camron holds this for a minute or so until Scarlett taps out at 11 minutes.

However, even after the bell Camron refuses to stop pounding on her rival... and things go from bad to worse for Scarlett when Josie hits the ring to help Camron beat her up! Luckily for the teenager, Maria Montana quickly comes out to try a save, and all four women brawl. After much effort, security finally separates everyone.

Nashville and its fans always seem to bring out the best in the PGWA’s wrestlers, and tonight was no exception as all six ladies battled hard .
