'Fall Free-for-All'

Nashville Live Show Q & A:

Christie Ricci Passion Riptide Luna Vachon Miss Kara Slice Peggy Lee Leather Bambi Candi Divine The Goddess Athena

by Shiai Mata

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the 'Fall Free-for-All' live event, so in the interest of keeping you, our loyal fans, fully informed, here’s a “Free-for-All FAQ”:

Q: Which ladies will the PGWA be bringing to the show?

A: Scheduled now are:

  • Christie Ricci
  • Passion
  • Riptide
  • Luna Vachon
  • Miss Kara Slice
  • Peggy Lee Leather
  • Bambi
  • Candi Divine

The Goddess Athena, the preeminent manager in the USWO will also be in attendance.

Q: I’ve heard this is a “split card.” What does that mean?

A: It means that half of the matches scheduled for the show will be ladies matches promoted by the PGWA, and the other half will be men’s matches booked by the USWO.

Q: Who are some of the men who will be appearing?

A: The USWO has booked LT Falk, Matt Catalano, AM Vision, Rex Sexton, and the one and only Superstar Bill Dundee!

Q: If the show is called “Fall Free-for-All,” why are you charging for tickets?

A: “Free-for-All” as applied here is best summed up by the American Heritage Dictionary: ‘A disorderly fight or competition. Synonyms include battle, brawl, donnybrook, fracas, and melee.’ In plain Tennessee language, this one’s gonna be a barnburner! Now isn’t that worth a modest $8 for General Admission, $10 for Ringside?

Q: Why isn’t Nikki Roxx appearing at the card?

A: A reasonable question, seeing as how Nikki is the PGWA Champion, and this is the first PGWA card to be held since she won the belt, so it only makes sense to expect her to attend. The simple answer is that Nikki was already booked to wrestle that night in New Hampshire, and the PGWA would never insist that she back out of a commitment. A pro keeps their word, and Nikki is a consummate pro. And if you’re in NH on Friday, be sure to check her out in action! You can find the details at PGWAChampNikkiRoxx.net.

Q: How many of the women booked for this show are new to the PGWA?

A: Believe it or not, only one of the ladies lined up has never worked for the organization before… Kara Slice. Christie, Peggy Lee, Passion, Luna, and Riptide are all PGWA veterans. And Riptide, of course, is a former PGWA Champion.

Q: Waitaminute…when did Luna Vachon work for the PGWA?

A: Back in 1998, she wrestled both Strawberry Fields and Malia Hosaka in PGWA matches. And in 2003 in Hanover, Germany she battled Pippa L’Vinn for the PGWA title in a match sanctioned by the organization.

Q: What role exactly will the Goddess Athena be playing at the show?

A: No man or woman alive can predict what Athena will do, but it’s a safe bet she’ll be continuing to try and establish her dominance over the PGWA by being the power behind the curtain. To that end, she’ll no doubt be once again managing Passion, and there might well be another wrestler or two whose corner Athena will be standing in, ready and willing to give her colleague whatever help she needs.

Q: What is the USWO?

A: The United States Wrestling Organization is one of the most successful and respected independent federations in America. Founded by Tony Falk, a true legend of Mid-South wrestling, the USWO has consistently brought quality pro wrestling to East Tennessee for years. The PGWA is proud of its working relationship with the USWO, which has resulted not only in a number of live events in Nashville, but also quite a few PGWA-sanctioned women’s matches on USWO cards. Check them out at theuswo.com.

Q: Will the PGWA be selling items at the show?

A: Yes, we’ll have a table set up offering videos, most at bargain prices!

Q: Will additional female wrestlers be added to the show?

A: You never know. ;)

Q: What about Shaia Mata?

A: You BET! ;)

Q: Where will I find this show?

A: The Stadium Inn, 10 Interstate Dr. in Nashville, Tennessee 37213. Call 615.244.6050 for more venue details.

See you there this Friday!
