PGWA Fans Cast Their Ballots

Congratulations to Christie Ricci & Persephone, who dominated the final poll at the PGWA Yahoo Group to have their SUMMER HEAT battle named Best Match of 2004 by our members! Unlike the preliminary rounds, where the decisions often came down to the wire, this one was a complete rout for the blondes...and a clear signal that PGWA fans know quality when they see it.

Ricci was also one-half of another match in the poll, making her the only woman to take part in two contending matches. When you add it all up, 6 out of 10 voters felt that Christie had given them the single best match of 2004.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that these two ladies would combine to bring the fans such an awesome battle. Christie, after all, is a former Rookie of the Year, and Persephone was previously honored as Most Promising Wrestler, so when these two step into the ring together, it's a foregone conclusion that it will be a good match. Add to the mix the fact that they have been engaged in a brutal running feud with one another, and what was a good match becomes positively combustible! There's a very good reason why their confrontation was hailed as the very best match of what many consider to be the PGWA's very finest live event, SUMMER HEAT, as anyone who witnessed it in person or on tape will attest to.

Congratulations again to both ladies, and we look forward to seeing them in action in the coming year.
