LADYSPORTS: Colleen, welcome to LadySports. When did you first get into the sport?
COLLEEN MASTERS: I started watching wresting in 2000, and I started training in 2003.

LS: Who trained you?
CM: Jon Ritchie.

LS: What was your biggest influence to become a wrestler?
CM: Team Extreme from WWE.

LS: What other sports do you have an interest in?
CM: I used to love playing tennis with my dad, and basketball was my favourite sport in school.

LS: How would you describe yourself in terms of attitude, personality, likes, dislikes, and strengths?
CM: I'm a people person... I get on with pretty much everybody that I have met. I'm always giving out a positive attitude about things. My likes are a long list of things, but my main like is that I also love writing lyrics and I am currently writing a book My dislikes are pretty much anybody who judges someone without even knowing them. My strengths are my determination. Two years ago I was told I had extreme anemia, to the point where I almost died, according to the doctor. I had to take a year off, but as soon as I was able to get back, I started making up for lost time by pushing myself further. And even though I've been told that I don't need my medicine any more, I still take it to make sure it never happens again.

LS: What is your most marked characteristic as a wrestler?
CM: I am a babyface, and I dedicate everything to my mother, who passed away in 2003. I advertise some of the books that she wrote whenever I can. I also tried being a heel, "Chav" ... which was a very interesting character for me, and I did get the response I had hoped for. I am thinking of adding to my babyface character... I am still exploring on what I can do.

LS: Describe a typical day of training for you. What is most important in your workout?
CM: Because the anemia affected my strength more than anything, I mostly do weight lifting. I also do squats everyday. I do a bit of everything in basic training, but I do change my routine every so often as I like to test myself in what I can do. I do about one hundred squats a day, and the weights, I started with doing thirty a day, and then I added ten after each month. The most important thing for my workout is, no matter what I do, I always have to do the squats and the weight lifting.

LS: How would you best describe your ring style?
CM: I am trying to be more of a high flyer, but my ring style is more of the technical mat wrestling style.

LS: What moves are you best known for?
CM: The Flying Headscissors and the Tornado DDT, which I use as my finisher, are my signature moves.

LS: Have you ever been injured in the ring?
CM: Not yet, but I do suffer from a bad knee from falling down the stairs one time, which is why I do my squats daily. I also wear a support bandage on my knee, that helps a lot.

LS: Who has been your toughest opponent?
CM: Lucy Clayden (I've never beaten her).

LS: Who are your allies?
CM: I have none at the moment, although I did briefly manage Stewart Knight, so I guess he counts as an ally.

LS: What has been your most memorable win?
CM: My last match at a place called ACW; it was a singles match and I was a heel.

LS: What was your worst loss?
CM: The CWC women's championship battle royal. I got eliminated first after being in the ring for only one minute!

LS: Who is the one wrestler you would most like to face in the ring, but haven't yet?
CM: Tara from TNA.

LS: What type of match do you enjoy the most?
CM: I quite enjoy the singles matches, but a part of me has always been curious to try a tables match.

LS: What sort of reactions do you get from people when they learn you are a wrestler?
CM: They don't believe at first because of my size.

LS: What is so special about this sport to you?
CM: I just feel so comfortable around it, and it was the last thing my mum supported me in before she died.

LS: What are your fans like?
CM: They're very fantastic. The feeling of support that I get from them feels very unreal at times.

LS: If you had the power, what one thing would you do to improve the sport?
CM: That's a good question. Ii think I would change the stereotype that some companies have when it comes to the wrestlers.

LS: Where have you wrestled, and what titles have you held?
CM: So far I have wrestled in Purfleet, Tottenham, Southampton, Milton Keynes, Luton , and a couple of other places that I can't remember the names of at the moment. I have currently held no belts, although I have competed in championship matches.

LS: What are your thoughts on women participating in the sport?
CM: I think that it is great and shows that women are just as capable as the men!

LS: What was your most unforgettable moment in the sport?
CM: My 2 out of 3 falls match with Lucy Clayden. I lost the match, but there was a huge reaction from the crowd, and after the match my brother... who isn't really a fan of wrestling... came up to me and told me how proud he was of me for doing what I love.

LS: Any regrets?
CM: Not yet... well, not as far as wrestling is concerned.

LS: What would you do if you couldn't be in wrestling?
CM: I would probably follow in my mum's foot steps and write books. Other than that, I really don't know, as wrestling is my true passion, and writing lyrics and books is just an extra hobby.

LS: What is your personal motto?
CM: Never say you can't do something until you try.

LS: What would make you most happy in life?
CM: To succeed in my lifelong dream.
