LEXI LANE vs JOSIE

by Jimmie McDaniel

This was originally scheduled as a tag team match between Lexi and Christie Summers versus Josie and Katie Syren, but Christie's car broke down on the trip to Tennessee, and Katie was so hopping mad that her nemesis was "dodging" her again, she claimed to be much too emotionally upset to compete in a 3 Way Dance. So, that meant that Josie and Lexi faced each other in a singles match.

Lane is in red and black, while Josie...making her return to the PGWA for the first time in over a year...is in blue and black. Josie demands that the referee check Lane thoroughly. Both then get into a posing war, eliciting different reactions from th crowd.

The action finally begins, and Josie grabs a wristlock, which Lexi reverses into a hammerlock. Josie makes for the ropes, but the blond pulls her away and Schoolgirls her for one. Flustered, Josie slips out of the ring so that a supporter at ringside can massage her arm! Back in, Josie grabs a Waistlock, but Lane breaks out various Armdrags and Josie rolls out again for another massage, this time for her back.

Warily, Josie circles the ring, then goes back in wanting a test of strength. Josie plays games and switches arms at first, but finally they lock up. Josie bends Lexi all the way backward, then knees her down for a one count. Lane bridges up and gets a brief advantage before the brunette boots her in the midsection.

Josie snapmares and chokes her opponent in the ropes, then gives her some knees to the back. Josie whips Lane to the corner and chops, but Lexi turns her around and throws a few of her own. Josie then applies a Camel Clutch-like Crossface maneuver, but the blond escapes and Crucifixes her adversary for two.

Josie picks up Lexi and slams her, but Lane rolls away from two Elbow Drops. Lexi hits a Rolling Neckbreaker for two, then Josie goes for a Lariat in the corner, but Lane leapfrogs her and rolls her up for the pin!

Angrily, Josie claims tight pulling, but the fans disagree. Josie challenges Lexi to a rematch, saying, "As soon as they have enough money to pay me, I'll be back."
