CHECKING IN WITH JAIME D

Canadian Powerhouse Jaime D

Canadian powerhouse Jaime D made a big splash in her PGWA debut at "A Banner Night". Having heard how busy she’s been lately, we thought we’d ask her what she’s been up to since that night in Tennessee, and what plans she has for the new year. Quite a bit, as it turns out... !

"Hi LadySports fans!

I have had an overwhelming last two months in 2008:

Went to Europe to wrestle, then went to California to train for a week and learned MMA and Jiu Jitsu to add to my repertoire of moves for wrestling. And then I went to Las Vegas to see the Grapplers’ Quest Tournaments, and I met all sorts of MMA athletes.

On December the 17th I went to Trish Stratus's Yoga studio to attend and help with her charity event, the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Her goal was to raise $5000, and she accomplished it!

Then my very close friend, Natalya Neidhart from WWE's Smackdown... the first-ever third generation Diva... invited me to stay with her and attend the WWE supershow in Toronto at the Air Canada Center.

That experience was very life changing for me, as it made me resolve to up my game in 2009 to make it BIG TIME!!! Natalya is a real champion inside and out, and she was very uplifting and motivated me to become my absolute best in 2009!

As for the WWE show itself, seeing Trish Stratus live against the Glamazon was magical! The crowd was so into it, and these girls are the very best in woman's wrestling (besides Jaime D, of course!).

And now I get to start 2009 with a bang by wrestling TNA's Women's Champion... Awesome Kong! Squaring up with her will be my truest test to date in the ring. I have wrestled some of the toughest woman in the world, including girls in Japan and most of the TNA and WWE girls already, and I know I can go with the best of them.

My goal is to sign with TNA, and build my name and reputation to be one of the greatest female wrestlers EVER!

I would love to work with Natalya Neidhart again, The Glamazon, every single TNA Knockout, and my career would never be complete without wrestling one of my very favourite females... Trish Stratus!

2009 is the year Jaime D steps it up and takes over!!!"
