That's the kind of effort that makes someone stand out from the pack, and it's why we're proud to feature Sara now in an exclusive new LadySports Online interview!

LADYSPORTS ONLINE: When did you first get into the sport?
SARA DEVLIN: I began interviewing wrestlers like Flair in 1997.

LS: Who trained you?
SD: I started in TN in '99 with Dreamweaver and Dragonmaster. I got pointers from Benoit, Malenko and Guerrero. I'm now training with Big Joe to knock my ring rust off.

LS: What was your biggest influence to become a wrestler?
SD: Honestly, Arn Anderson, DDP, and Chris Benoit. They sat down with me and helped me get my head on straight. I graduated high school and then I took some college courses before I started training.

LS: What other sports do you have an interest in?
SD: Martial arts, baseball, basketball, football. Big Cowboys/Spurs fan.

LS: How would you describe yourself in terms of attitude, personality and strengths?
SD: I am harder on myself more than anyone else. When I set my mind on something, I can be pretty motivated.

LS: Describe a typical day of training for you. What is most important in your workout?
SD: My legs. It's the basis for everything.

LS: How would you best describe your ring style?
SD: Heh, I'm not like a girl.

LS: Did you base your ring style or even your persona on any one particular wrestler?
SD: Mostly I want people to see me as an athlete and not as a diva. So I look to Miss Jackie Moore and Tracy Brooks as inspirations.

LS: What specific signature moves are you best known for?
SD: Sweet Kisses (similar to Trish's chops, where she licks her hand) and the Silicone Slut Buster (X-Factor).

LS: Since you've begun, have you ever had a "Why am I still doing this" moment?
SD: Every time I see how big name companies treat their girls.

LS: Who have been your toughest opponents?
SD: Ice, and right now Claudia Del Solis.

LS: Who are your allies?
SD: Big Joe, Kevin Northcutt, Bobcat, Double Trouble, Heather Devine.

LS: What was your worst loss?
SD: Ice busted me open with a chain and broke my tooth!

LS: Who is the one wrestler you would most like to face in the ring, but haven't yet?
SD: I would like to wrestle Bobcat, Velvet Skye, and most definitely Miss Jackie Moore.

LS: What type of match do you enjoy the most?
SD: Technical.

LS: What sort of reactions do you get from people when they learn you are a wrestler?
SD: “You don't look the type! You aren't thin enough.”

LS: What is so special about this sport to you?
SD: Feeling like a family... our locker room is tight!

LS: What are your fans like?
SD: Mostly young kids, teenage girls.

LS: If you had the power, what one thing would you do to improve the sport?
SD: I would hire someone who sees women's wrestling as more than t ‘n a to book matches

LS: Where have you wrestled, and what titles have you held?
SD: No titles, but I've worked Louisiana, Tennessee, and Arkansas.

LS: What are your thoughts on women participating in the sport?
SD: Most power to the Girls' Club!

LS: What was your most unforgettable moment in the ring?
SD: Bleeding in my debut match, or getting bodyslammed by Minotaur.

LS: Any regrets?
SD: Not having the drive I have now when I was younger... I gave up my shot at training with Skandar Akbar.

LS: What do you suppose you would be doing if you couldn't be in wrestling?
SD: Playing softball for NSU.

LS: What is your personal motto?
SD: Don't let being a girl stop you from following your dreams!

LS: What would make you most happy in life?
SD: Make a name for myself and to see my kids happy and healthy.

LS: Anything else you'd like to add?
SD: Fans in Florida and Texas keep an eye out for me, because I'm in talks with promoters in those states.

LS: Thanks for making the time to speak with us!
SD: No, thank you for interviewing me!
