Q & A: DEMONICA SAMSARA

"It's Darkness Time!"

by S. Mata

Is it possible for evil to still do... good? That's perhaps a question best suited for philosophers. But at least for the rest of us, we can ponder the example set by Demonica Samsara.

Having already established herself as a highly successful manager... the sort who laughingly flaunts the rules and revels in destroying enemies... she is currently undertaking ring training of her own, so as to satisfy her craving to physically punish opponents with her own bare hands.

And yet, for all of her apparent evil, Demonica is fully aware of the fact that, by virtue of her success, she is something of a role model. And that is a responsibility she is taking seriously, for she hopes to play a role in both inspiring young girls, as well as to help improve the sport she loves.

Of course, such noble ambitions don't seem to slow her down when it comes to cheating to help her stable, as you'll come to understand in the following exclusive interview... .

DS: Strength training, and cardio, and lots of Yoga

LS: How would you best describe your ring style?
DS: Brawler.

LS: Did you base your ring style or even your persona on any one particular wrestler?
DS: No, I want to develop my own persona. And I also have so many influences, even indy workers, that I could never just name one person that I base my style from.

LS: What specific signature moves are you best known for?
DS: Kiss of Death, Black Rose, and The Demon Drop.

LS: Have you ever been injured in the ring?
DS: Not yet.

LS: Since you've begun, have you ever had a "Why am I still doing this" moment?

LS: Who have been your toughest opponents?
DS: No one is tougher than me and I dominate everyone!

LS: Who are your allies?

DS: Hardcore singles matches.

LS: What sort of reactions do you get from people when they learn you are a wrestler?
DS: Many different reactions, from "That's awesome" to "Wow" to "Oh my God, why?" Some people will say, "Yes I can see you doing that," especially people that really know me, to "Why would you want to do that to yourself?" and "I can't really see you doing that." The reactions are VERY interesting!

LS: What is so special about this sport to you?
DS: The tradition, the storylines, and the physical empowerment.

LS: What are your fans like?
DS: I do not have many, but the fans I have are the best and most evil fans!

DS: It's hard to choose one thing, but I would like to change some of the equipment to improve safety and protection to prevent some injuries.

LS: Where have you wrestled, and what titles have you held?
DS: I am still training to wrestle, but I manage at the present time.

LS: What are your thoughts on women participating in the sport?
DS: It's difficult for women to break into this sport. Therefore there are not many women in the sport, so naturally I think it's amazing when a woman can play a part in the show and not just as eye candy. We can do this right and be a positive role model for young women too by our actions and examples.

LS: What was your most unforgettable moment in the ring?
DS: When Big Lenny announced The Powers of Darkness.

LS: Any regrets?
DS: Not yet!

DS: See you in your nightmares...it's darkness time.

LS: What would make you most happy in life?
DS: To take over DCW.

LS: Anything else you'd like to add?
DS: Regardless of my character, I really think this business has the power to do wonderful things for people. We can change the stigma that wrestling has and do good things for people like fundraising, also give people something to do that's positive and entertain them.

LS: Thanks for making the time to speak with us!
DS: Thank you LadySports for the opportunity!
