TASHA SIMONE: BLOOD ON BEALE STREET

by Tasha Simone

Ms Simone describes her recent brutal hardcore bloodbath against Christie Ricci:

The path to success is always riddled with sacrifice. The more an individual is driven to succeed, the more willing they are to make personal sacrifices. Ladies like MsChif, Christie Ricci and myself have the drive for success encoded in our DNA, so we are more than willing to make sacrifices, even if the sacrifice happens to be our own well being.

On March 10, 2007, Christie Ricci and I met in Memphis, Tennessee on historic Beale Street for her return to the PGWA, and our first meeting since she lost the NWA World Women's Title to MsChif, partly due to my distracting her. The match was hosted by All Pro Wrestling, and sanctioned by the PGWA. Many fans have yet to get over the shock of the PGWA sanctioning this match, and that is understandable, because this match was hardcore.

Now for those of you who may not know, Christie and I have had more than a few run-ins all over the U.S., and both of us felt very slighted when Nikki Roxx was given a title match with former champion Pippa L'Vinn, and would go on to become the PGWA champion, because Christie and I both felt that we should be the Number 1 Contender to Pippa at that time.

Christie dropped her quest to become PGWA champion to the wayside when she became the NWA World Women's Champion, and I slacked off with going after the title due to injury after injury, but now we are both back and better than ever. Christie and I both felt that our match in Memphis should and would make one of us the Number 1 Contender to the PGWA title held by Nikki Roxx, and we entered the ring to make claim to the Number 1 Contendership by any means necessary.

I want everyone to keep in mind that while Christie and I have a strong dislike for one another, we also have a great deal of mutual respect, and I have always stated that I wanted to bring out Christie's darkside, and I finally did just that. Christie and I entered the ring at around 11:00 PM, following 7 other matches that had torn the house down; we both exchanged words, knocked out an announcer, shook hands, and then proceeded to piss the crowd off by wrestling. That's right, wrestling, not beating the hell out of one another with every weapon we could find... that is until neither of us could get the upper hand, and then the plunder came into to play. I don't want to give away too much about the match... you can get the video from LadySports as soon as it becomes available to see every little thing that happened... but I will tell you this: we had two very tired photographers and two very tired cameramen chasing us around the New Daisy Theatre and even outside onto Beale Street!

I am proud that Christie Ricci finally showed she isn't always the prim and proper little beauty queen and that she is willing to get her hands dirty, so to speak. Christie and I tore into one another like we owed each other money; we both lost blood, and we both suffered a few injuries (I bruised both kidneys and ruptured a tendon in my left knee), but in the end, I was able to pin the Mississippi Queen, and then I even shook her hand.

As I stated previously, we felt this match should make one of us the Number 1 Contender for the belt that Roxx is holding... meaning I should be the Number 1 Contender. Right? Well, apparently I am wrong, because now I am being told that I have to go through yet another person before I get my shot at Nikki Roxx!

What more do I have to do to prove that I am not stopping until I get my title shot? I have faced and defeated the self-proclaimed Tormentor of Souls, MsChif. I have defeated the one time Golden Girl of the PGWA, Christie Ricci, on her return to the PGWA. I have fought all over the Stadium Inn and the New Daisy Theatre against two very tough opponents, and I came out on top. I have proclaimed myself the New Golden Girl of the PGWA, whether they like or not, yet the offices of the PGWA will still not name me the Number 1 Contender to the title their precious little Nikki Roxx is holding!

What more do I have to do? Who do I have to defeat next, who will the PGWA feed to me next? The rumor is that Josie will be my next victim, and if so, I don't feel sorry for her one bit for what I will have to do her; she can thank the offices of the PGWA for what happens to her, if this match comes to fruition.

In closing, I will once more implore of the PGWA please stop making me hurt girls... just give me the title shot that I crave and deserve and be done with it.

Love, Peace and Pain,
