ARRIVEDERCI ALICIA

by Shiai Mata & ALICIA

It's always sad when a wrestler leaves the fold, particularly when she's still at the top of her game. What makes this departure even more bittersweet, at least for us, is that the PGWA never had the opportunity to work with her. Mind you, we most certainly wanted to, but the chance never seemed to arise. Maybe in part that's because we kept thinking that she would be around for many more years to come, so we had time to make it happen someday.

But as the old saying goes, 'when a door closes, a window opens', and for Alicia, this is a window of opportunity, as she'll explain...

Hey there everybody!!

I have to tell you, the past 7+ years of my life have been an awesome journey thanks to professional wrestling.

Pro-wrestling was my crutch through 8th grade, high-school, and a good part of college. However, because of it I haven't had the chance to really concentrate on my education as I would have normally. Right now I'm at a point where I have a huge study abroad opportunity as well as another opportunity to attend an even bigger university.

There are many decisions I need to get moving on, and unfortunately which ever way I swing it, I'm not going to have the time or energy I used to have to put into wrestling.

I'm not considering this a "break" from the business because I'm not sure if this is the end or not. Either way, it's been one hell of a ride the whole way.

Thank you to every person who has supported me. Every fan that put up with my mouth running, cheered me, or boo'ed me. Thank you to every Juggalo that threw Faygo at us when wrestling at ICP's Gathering. Thank you to every wrestler who I've ever been friends with. And thank you to all the places that let me live part of my dream, especially JAPW, SHIMMER, WSU, WXW, and ROH. And thanks to IWF, IEW, SSCW, NWS, and AWA(NJ) where I got most of my start.

Love ya'll, and don't worry... there will be plenty of kissy faces to come.

XOXO,
Alicia
